I’ve spent the last 15 years exploring every trail, cove, and mountaintop of Bowen and surrounding islands on foot, boats, sea kayaks, and every kind of bike. Through Discover Bowen, I bring together my love for outdoor adventure, hosting, local storytelling, and travel planning to help my guests experience the island in a deeper, more connected way that suits them.
I want to offer a unique travel service to suit this unique island. Listings on AirBnB and VRBO are shown to you based on algorithms that may leave out options that might be perfect for you. They also don’t always do a good job of highlighting what’s special about any given listing. The one without the fancy pictures might have qualities, features, and location that make it amazing or just right for you, but you may scroll right past them. I want to give my guests the local intel a good friend would offer—”Oh, that’s spot is busy if you’re looking for a retreat. Maybe let’s look at places on the west side near these amazing bluffs where you can meditate just above the ocean.” Or, “Your kids will love that location! There’s a trail right out the back that’ll take you to a pond where they can catch frogs and fish.”
