THE BOOM BOOMS and DANIEL WESLEY - Double Bill at the Bowen Island Pub
Two of BC's finest live acts, The Boom Booms and Daniel Wesley, are joining forces for an epic twin bill at the Bowen Island Pub.
Sharing the bill are Canadian west coast groove masters, The Boom Booms, bringing their unique soulful mix of funk, reggae, latin rhythms and rock (tropical disco rock, as they call it), and Canadian alternative rock stalwart Daniel Wesley, known for his infectious blend of beachy reggae-influenced roots rock and feel-good energy (and his killer band!).
Come to dance, sing along, or just savour the good vibes - this one will be a party of epic proportions.
19+ only.
A ticket gets you entry to the event. Seating is limited so arrive early if you want a seat. If you would like dinner before the show, please contact the Pub directly (604-947-BPUB (2782) or https://bowenpub.com) for reservations.

Bowen Contra Dance
Join us at the Legion on Wednesday November 26 from 7-9 pm. (Please note that the bar will not be open.) Free admission, but donations appreciated. Beginners welcome!
Contra dance is danced in lines like English country dancing, but brings the exuberance of an old-time square dance or barn dance. If you can walk in time to the music and count to 8, you can contra dance!
Our caller is Becky Liddle and live music will be provided by the Bowen Celtic Music Group, led by Alex Jenyon.
This dance is geared toward adults, but teens and tweens are also welcome.
Wear comfortable shoes, dress in layers (it can get warm!), and bring a water bottle. Please try to arrive promptly by 7:00 to learn the basic moves.
Free!
For questions contact Becky Liddle at becky.liddle@icloud.com.

What People are Saying:
“You have a very special vibe about you. I am sure you know this and have been told many times. Your intentionality is so important in a world where we react to so many things, versus take a moment to respond. I especially noticed it when you were speaking to us in the lodge. I work with so many leaders in business and other areas who don’t have a fraction of your presence.” - Debi
“I have always admired, and continue to admire, your grounded self-confidence, and ability to hold space for those around you. I feel like you are in your power, and that your power is to help others learn and grow. Everything about this is a joy!” - Grace
